Choosing the right sealer is just as important as choosing the correct plastic for your job.  When deciding on which sealer you need, consider the plastic you will be using for your project.  Do you need a strong plastic, food grade type or just need a clear plastic for presentation?  Once you decide on the plastic you will be using it is time to choose your sealer.  

The following are suggestions for machines that should work for your needs.  I always recommend on sending in a sample of your plastic to have a test seal done.  You can email Pack Seure at [email protected] for a form to send with your plastic to have tested. 

Impulse Sealers activate when the jaws come together.  The heat current in only active for the time set and does not remain hot.

Constant Heat Sealers remain at a constant temperature and stay hot.

Polyetheylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), Polyurethane (PU), Polyvinylchloride (PVC), Polyflex, Kel-F, Saran, PVA, Pliofilm, Tivac, -  1-10 mil.

This material can sometimes be sealed by a Double Impulse Sealer, but may also require a Constant Heat Sealer.  I advise that you send in a test seal to Pack Secure.  Email for a test seal form at [email protected]

If you are using:

Glassine

This material is not sealable with Impulse Sealers or Constant Heat Sealers.

If the material you would like to seal is not listed above, please send it in for a test seal to determine the correct machine for your needs. 

Impulse Sealers and Constant Heat Sealers are the most popular choices for sealing most any plastic.  Choosing the correct one for the job can make your project go smoothly.
