Maintenance How-To

Normal routine maintenance of your impulse sealer will help insure its continued reliable service.

In most cases, all basic maintenance can be performed in less than 15 minutes with nothing more than a standard #2 Phillips screwdriver and a few drops of oil.

The parts can be replaced individually or all at the same time.

Under normal operating conditions, the cover, insulator tape and element wire should last quite awhile depending on how it is used.

BEFORE DOING SERVICE WORK TO YOUR UNIT MAKE SURE IT HAS BEEN UNPLUGGED !

Bag Sealer Replacement Parts

1. After unplugging the unit, loosen the screws that secure one of the chrome retainer strips. Remove the screws and chrome strip on the opposite side.

2. Remove screw that secures plastic end cap near timer dial and set aside.

3. To remove element, use screwdriver to gently pry spring loaded stud towards the center of unit and remove element.

4. Check the tape strip that sits below the element. Look for signs of wear such as burn holes or charring. The old tape should just pull off. Make sure the new tape is properly aligned.

5. Installation of replacement parts is simply the opposite of the disassembly process. Here, the new tape strip has been installed.

6. The new element has now been installed and the unit is now ready for the new no stick cover to be installed.

7. To install the new cover, slide the strip under the remaining chrome retainer and set in position making certain the strip is fairly centered left to right. Reattach the remaining chrome strip making sure not to over-tighten any of the screws. Just snug them down.

Reinstall the end cap and put a couple drops of oil on the hinge and your sealer is ready to go !!!
