ShockWatch Impact Indicators are available in clip devices that can be adhered to your products. They provide evidence of any mishandling of your item. They turn red whenever an impact occurs. Choosing the correct indicator is determined by sensitivities.

The Single Clip has one tube and will provide nearly 360 degrees of detection. The Double Clip has two tubes and gives a full 360 degrees of detection. Mini-clips are available with a smaller footprint. Clips and Mini-Clips can be used on a flat surface. ShockWatch Clips are designed to protect products up to 500 cubic feet in volume and weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

The Flex, a flexible variation of the Clip, can be mounted easily to curved and irregular shapes, ensuring the indicator will remain in place. The Flex is ideal for monitoring tools that may become misaligned, equipment that may lose their calibration or products that may be damaged with mishandling.

The Multi G is an impact diagnostic tool for packaging engineers, product designers, and manufacturing engineers. The Multi-G incorporates three sensitivity levels into a single unit to indicate a low, medium, and high impact. It can be used to determine package sensitivity during drop testing.

Technical information on the single and double clips:

The double tube offers “full 360 degree of motion” monitoring, whereas the single tube can only monitor 5 axes of motion. When you turn one tube so that the “encapsulated dye” is on the opposite end of the other tube, they can monitor 360 degrees. Otherwise, if an impact hits the end of the tube where the dye is captured, the dye will not be released, but held in suspension and no activation will occur. With the second tube in place turned 180 degrees, the second tube would activate.
