Poly Tubing is specifically designed for creating custom-sized poly bags. The process is simple - cut the tubing to the desired length, insert the product, and heat seal both ends. This tubing is ideal for packaging long or odd-shaped objects such as tubes, cylinders, posters, and other long, flat items. It can be sealed using impulse seal, tape, or staples. Buy the correct width of the item you want to bag, allowing room for the sides to draw up when the product is inserted. We recommend that you make a sample bag to be sure you get just the right size. Use a regular garbage bag and cut it to the size you think you need, and then cut it to more if needed. After you get it the size you need, tape the sides and insert your item. Using this method will allow for you to try multiple sizes before you purchase the poly tubing you need.
Once you decide on what width poly tubing you need, choose the length. If you will be doing a lot of bags, then a large roll would be appropriate. Choose a smaller roll for smaller jobs.
Choose the correct poly tubing dispenser for the size of the tubing you chose. A dispenser will make pulling the material easier when you are making your bags.
Now that you have the right size poly tubing you are ready to make your poly bags. Pull the material to the proper length and use your impulse sealer to seal it and make your bag. Be sure to use the tear away method if you do not have a sealer with a cutter. Hold the arm down on the machine and pull the material away.
